Puri

Puri is a small temple town situated on the coast of Bay of Bengal in the state of Odisha (formerly Orissa). It is one of the most sacred pilgrim places of India and is famous for the Lord Jagannath Temple. Every year thousands of people from all over the country come to Puri to witness the famous Rath Yatra (Chariot Festival). This festival is held in the months of June-July and is associated with the Jagannath Temple. Puri is also well known for its golden sandy sea beach.
